Inspired by her surroundings Zoe has always had a passion for drawing. Brought up on a small Scottish croft, always with a pencil in hand, she was destined for Art School. In 2004 she graduated with a first class honours degree from Duncan and Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. In 2005 she moved from Scotland to Plymouth where she undertook a post graduate diploma in Publishing, which led to her role as a children’s book illustrator for a London publishing company.
Every bit the country girl, she has found an affinity with the Devonshire countryside and is inspired by the beauty of the South West. She now lives and works there as a freelance artist and illustrator. She spends much of her time travelling to the beaches and villages that make Devon the magical place that enchants her.
Zoe’s career has so far taken her through the world of children’s books, card design and painting. Her vivid imagination is the heartbeat of her work. This and her perfectionism, which is both a blessing and a curse, drive her to create high quality and beautiful work.
